IRMHUB_Interregional EU innovation Hubs for the circularity and green supply of Raw Materials to achieve the resilience of the main underdeveloped regions specialised on critical industrial value chain

IRMHUB is the project that will, for the first time in the EU, deploy an innovation investment channel for the large-scale circular and green supply of raw materials in the form of a Meta-Hub. The project will act as a coordination and integration mechanism between three interregional hubs focused on the green supply and industrial symbiosis of raw materials, with the objective of enabling circular recovery. Three Hubs will drive less developed regions towards concrete innovation investments in sustainable supply and circularity, applied to three critical technological value chains for the EU: (1) energy (wind) and electric mobility; (2) battery materials; and (3) metals and rare earth elements (REEs) for microchips. IRMHUB will be framed within a dedicated Social and Sustainable Investment Framework designed to incentivise investments that support the green transition and strengthen the EU’s resilience. .
