IRMHUB to Host Workshop on Strategic Investment Opportunities in Raw Materials Supply Chains

On 10 June 2026, the European project IRMHUB will hold the online workshop “Strategic Opportunities in Raw Materials Supply Chains: Investment Cases as a Tool for Resilience”, an event aimed at companies, SMEs, project promoters and stakeholders interested in strengthening Europe’s raw materials supply chains.

The workshop is organised by ECOCASTULUM, a member of the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) and partner in the IRMHUB consortium, and forms part of the project’s activities to foster interregional cooperation, innovation and resilience across the European raw materials sector.

Strengthening Europe’s Raw Materials Supply Chains

As demand for critical and strategic raw materials continues to grow, driven by the green transition, digitalisation and industrial transformation, ensuring secure, sustainable and resilient supply chains has become a key priority for Europe.

Against this backdrop, IRMHUB is working to develop interregional innovation hubs that support circularity, resource efficiency and sustainable raw materials supply. By connecting stakeholders across regions and value chains, the project aims to contribute to Europe’s strategic autonomy and industrial competitiveness.

The upcoming workshop will provide practical insights into how investment cases can serve as valuable tools for identifying business opportunities, attracting funding and enhancing the resilience of raw materials value chains.

A Programme Focused on Investment, Innovation and Collaboration

The event will begin with an introduction to the IRMHUB project and its strategic approach, followed by discussions on current challenges and opportunities within the raw materials sector. Participants will then take part in an interactive HUBs session designed to encourage knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement and the exploration of future collaboration opportunities. The workshop will conclude with a plenary discussion and closing remarks.
