TERRAVISION reúne en Sevilla a proyectos europeos y actores clave para impulsar una minería más sostenible y digital
On 11 February 2026, Seville will host a key event in the fields of sustainable mining, Earth Observation and Critical Raw Materials: the 1st TERRAVISION Stakeholders Workshop and the 2nd TERRAVISION Clustering Event, organised within the framework of the European TERRAVISION project.
Venue: Hotel Occidental Viapol (Seville, Spain)
Time: 09:00 – 16:00 CET
Date: 11 February 2026

The event will bring together public authorities, the mining industry, technology providers, European projects, research centres and clusters, with the aim of advancing towards a safer, more efficient and sustainable management of the mining life cycle, aligned with the European Green Deal and the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA).
A space for dialogue with stakeholders: from operational challenges to applied innovation
The day will begin with the Stakeholders Workshop, a participatory forum focused on real challenges related to risk monitoring, environmental protection and safety in mining. Through interactive sessions and group work, participants will address environmental sustainability and operational resilience indicators, incorporating the perspectives of the different stakeholders involved.
This approach will enable the solutions developed by TERRAVISION, based on Earth Observation, artificial intelligence and interoperable digital platforms, to respond to real territorial needs and strengthen the social licence to operate.
Clustering Event: building European synergies in mining, EO and CRMs
In the afternoon, the 2nd TERRAVISION Clustering Event will take place, organised by the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC), with the aim of connecting European projects, technology communities and industrial actors working in complementary fields.
During this session, European initiatives such as GoldenRAM, MINEYE and GAIA-TSF will be presented, alongside an overview of the TERRAVISION project and the activities of the GEO Earth Observation community. The event will foster knowledge exchange, the identification of synergies, and the design of joint actions, such as shared pilots, digital platforms, training activities or common positioning at European level.
An event aligned with European priorities
Holding this event in Seville provides an opportunity to link European strategic discussions with real-world technology validation experiences, reinforcing the role of collaborative projects as key drivers of the green and digital transition of the mining sector.
From ISMC, we continue to promote spaces for cooperation that strengthen competitiveness, sustainability and innovation in European mining.
If you work in mining, critical raw materials, Earth Observation or digital innovation, this event represents a valuable opportunity to connect, learn and collaborate.
