Mining Ecosystems 2025: A Key Event to Drive Innovation, Sustainability and Efficiency in the Mining Supply Chain
On 26 June, the historic Parador de León hosted “Mining Ecosystems 2025: Innovation, Sustainability and Efficiency in the Supply Chain”, an event organised by ISMC.
La jornada se consolidó como un espacio clave para fortalecer la colaboración entre empresas tractoras, pymes innovadoras, centros tecnológicos y entidades públicas, con el objetivo común de construir una minería más eficiente, tecnológica y sostenible.
The event served as a key meeting point to foster collaboration among leading industrial companies, innovative SMEs, technology centres, and public institutions, all working together towards a more efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced mining sector.
Strengthening Collaboration Across the Mining Value Chain
The event brought together key actors across the entire mining value chain, encouraging dialogue and partnerships between large corporations, startups, and R&D institutions to address the sector’s current challenges—such as the green transition, digital transformation, and sustainability.
Participants included:
-
The European Projects DEXPLORE EU Project, repsentado by Catalina Hernández, y TERRAVISION EU Project, presented by Clara Balbín.

These organisations shared insights, technologies, and success stories in areas including smart exploration, circular economy, resource efficiency, and traceability systems.
The Future of Mining: Cooperation, Innovation and Sustainability
The discussions clearly demonstrated that collaborative innovation is essential to building a resilient and future-proof mining sector. The session highlighted a wide array of technological solutions—from geophysical tools to intelligent mining systems—while underlining the importance of public-private cooperation and knowledge transfer.
In addition, B2B meetings and networking sessions facilitated direct connections and potential partnerships for European-funded projects and industrial R&D initiatives.

ISMC’s Ongoing Commitment to a Sustainable Mining Ecosystem
We at ISMC would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees for the warm reception and active participation. Your engagement and shared vision help us pave the way towards a smarter, more competitive, and environmentally responsible mining industry.
