ISMC Takes Part in the PERMANET 6-Month Progress Meeting in Seville

Seville, 11 April 2025 — ISMC actively participated in the 6-month progress meeting of the European project PERMANET (PERmanent MAgnet NETwork for the European Transition), held on 8–9 April in Seville. The project, coordinated by Técnicas Reunidas, aims to support sustainable energy transition in Europe by developing robust infrastructure based on permanent magnet networks.
A Key Event to Assess Progress and Align Future Milestones
Hosted at the Hotel Occidental Sevilla Viapol, the meeting brought together all project partners to share progress across various work packages (WPs) and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.

A Key Event to Assess Progress and Align Future Milestones
Hosted at the Hotel Occidental Sevilla Viapol, the meeting brought together all project partners to share progress across various work packages (WPs) and strengthen collaboration across the consortium.
Programme highlights included:
General project coordination updates (WP1) by Técnicas Reunidas and ISMC, covering management structure, project timeline and PERT chart
Progress reports on WP2 and WP6 by TECOS and N-ABLE, including a look ahead to the launch of WP3
Joint presentations on WP3, WP4 and WP5, led by Técnicas Reunidas, SOLVAY and POLIMI, with contributions from HUB leaders and task coordinators
Updates on WP7 and WP8, presented by ISMC and ERION, focusing on core implementation activities, project visibility, and preparation of the annual event
A collaborative discussion session focused on reviewing project progress and planning upcoming milestones
In addition to the technical sessions, informal networking opportunities included a welcome get-together at the hotel’s lobby bar on the evening of 7 April, and a group dinner to round off the first day.

Throughout the event, ISMC reinforced its commitment to innovative and sustainable energy infrastructure and its active role in European initiatives aligned with the European Green Deal.
