ISMC participates in the MaDiTraCe event in Essen, Germany
The city of Essen, Germany, was the setting for an important meeting on the future of responsible sourcing and mineral traceability. Over three intensive days of work and collaboration, the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) actively participated in the MaDiTraCe EU Project event, represented by its colleagues Alicia García and María Fernández.

Tres días de innovación y cooperación
Day 1 – Second Consortium Meeting
The leaders of the different work packages (WP) and consortium members shared key progress and initial project results. The day concluded with enriching discussions with the Advisory Board, consolidating a shared vision for the next steps of MaDiTraCe.
Day 2 – Integration Workshop
Crucial topics such as material fingerprinting, digital traceability, and the CERA chain of custody standard were addressed. Discussions and knowledge exchange helped to strengthen strategies for improving transparency in the mineral supply chain.

Day 3 – MaDiTraCe Open Event: Pioneering Innovation in Mineral Traceability
The final event brought together industry leaders, researchers, and sustainability experts, fostering dialogue and cooperation towards a more transparent and responsible mineral supply chain.
ISMC extends its gratitude to DMT GROUP for organising the event and to all participants for making this experience a space for collaborative learning and innovation.
