Santiago Cuesta López participates in the International Climate Action Congress in Santander

The International Climate Action Congress (CIACC 2024) brought together experts from around the world in Santander from July 3 to 5. Santiago Cuesta López, Director General of the Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC), was one of the key speakers in the roundtable discussion on the geopolitics of energy and critical minerals.

This week, the city of Santander became the epicentre of climate action with the hosting of the International Climate Action Congress (CIACC 2024), an event organised by the Empresa & Clima Private Foundation, FUNIBER, and the European University of the Atlantic.

Over the three days of the congress, from July 3 to 5, prominent experts discussed the challenges and opportunities of the climate emergency through presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking sessions.

Among the speakers, Santiago Cuesta López, Director General of ISMC, participated in the roundtable “The Geopolitics of Energy and Critical Minerals”, moderated by Jordi Bruno, Director of AMPHOS 21 GROUP SL.

The CIACC stands as a key opportunity to foster cooperation, drive innovation, and promote the exchange of knowledge—essential tools to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change.
