Iberian Sustainable Mining Cluster (ISMC) attended the National Cluster Congress in Barcelona, an event that highlighted the key role of these associations as drivers of innovation and economic growth in Spain.
The National Cluster Congress, held today in Barcelona, brought together prominent leaders from the sector, including Jordi Hereu, Minister of Industry and Tourism, and Roger Torrent i Ramió, Minister of Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia.
During the event, Daniel González Bootello, President of Clusters.es, emphasised the importance of clusters as catalysts for innovation, stating that “everything that enters a cluster ends up transformed and improved.”
The figures reflect their impact: clusters account for 21% of employment and 40% of GDP in Spain, consolidating themselves as a strategic hub for economic development and business collaboration.
